Summer Rokytnice offers many marked tourist tracks and walks, bike routes and education trails. Bike rental and tennis courts are available. You can play bowling, use the sports hall, saunas and fitness centers. There are several pubs, discos, a movie theater, bars and restaurants. All these can make your stay more pleasant. You can also buy groceries, sports clothes and shoes, small souvenirs, glass and ceramics. There are banks and ATMs available.

A funicular to Horní Domky runs throughout the year; it will also transport bicycles or dogs. In the summer there is a daily cyclo-bus (less frequent in off-season, operating from May 31st until Septerber 28th) between Harrachov, Kořenov, Rokytnice n. Jiz (U Kroupu), Vrchlabi, Janske Lazne, Pec pod Sn., Horni Mala Upa, also connecting to other cyclo-bus and public transport routes. Also in the summer there are special tourist busses running, i.e. tourist bus from Rokytnice to Zlate navrsi. There is an outdoor swimming pool in Rokytnice, also a very nice natural swimming place in Jablonec nad Jizerou, an all-season swimming pool in Jilemnice. You can visit the aquapark Babylon in Liberec. The Horni Domky funicular is an ideal starting place for bike trips around Rokytnice.

Paseky nad Jizerou

A mountain village, located on the slopes of Prichovicky ridge with beautiful wooden mountain huts. The parish building currently houses a museum, showing of different folk handiwork. Very interesting is the display of local violin maker's art. You can see typical mountain buildings with decorated gables. Important buildings also include the St. Wenceslas church from end of 18th century.

Vysoké nad Jizerou

The highest located town in Czech Republic. You can find it on a mountain plateau, with neighbouring villages spreading from it along mountain streams. You can visit the Vetrov castle with natural park. There is a beautiful view of the countryside and a folk museum well-worth visiting.


Pictoresque village with preserved folk architecture. Museum and gallery Stary Kravin in Frantiskov houses expositions describing the difficult mountain life in the past. There are tools people used to make living with, or a collection of firefighting equipment. Exhibitions by local artists also take place here.
